Neck Rejuvenation in Lancashire: Smooth Crepey Skin & Neck Lines with Redensity 1 at Bella Medica
Why does the neck often show signs of ageing first?
I’m often asked why the neck can look older than the face, even when someone has a consistent skincare routine.
The simple answer is that the neck is frequently overlooked. We cleanse, moisturise and protect our faces, but the neck may receive very little skincare or sun protection. Over time, this delicate area can begin to show:
Crepey or crinkled skin texture
Horizontal neck lines
Reduced hydration and elasticity
Sun-related pigmentation
Laxity following weight loss
Fine lines associated with looking down at phones and screens, sometimes called “tech neck”
There is no single cause, and there is no one correct treatment for everybody. Some people are mainly concerned about texture and dehydration, while others are more troubled by laxity or deeper horizontal lines.
At Bella Medica Aesthetics, I assess the neck as part of the wider picture before recommending a treatment plan. My aim is always to improve the quality and appearance of the skin while keeping the result natural.
What is Redensity 1?
Redensity 1 is a skin booster designed to improve skin quality rather than add noticeable volume.
It contains non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, together with a dermo-restructuring complex of amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Hyaluronic acid helps the skin attract and retain moisture, while the wider formulation is intended to support hydration, suppleness and overall skin condition.
This is different from a volumising dermal filler. Redensity 1 is not intended to change the shape of the neck or create a fuller appearance. Instead, it is injected superficially into carefully selected areas to help improve:
Hydration
Fine lines
Skin texture
Elasticity
Radiance
The appearance of early crepey skin
You can read more about the formulation on the Redensity 1 information page from Teoxane.

How can Redensity 1 help crepey neck skin?
Crepey skin is often linked to a combination of dehydration, thinning skin, reduced elasticity and cumulative sun exposure. When the skin loses some of its natural support, fine lines can become more visible, particularly when the neck moves.
Redensity 1 works by improving the skin environment rather than simply filling a line. The hyaluronic acid component can provide an improvement in hydration, which may make the skin look smoother and more supple. The accompanying ingredients are designed to support the skin’s structure and protect against some of the processes associated with skin ageing.
Clinical and manufacturer data suggest improvements in hydration, radiance, elasticity and the appearance of fine lines. However, I always explain that results vary. Redensity 1 cannot reverse every sign of ageing, and it is not a substitute for surgery when there is significant loose skin.
For the right patient, it can be a useful option when the main concern is thin, dehydrated, crepey or finely lined skin.
What does a typical neck rejuvenation course involve?
A course is usually planned around your skin quality, age, lifestyle and the degree of laxity or pigmentation present.
For many patients, a course may involve three sessions, often spaced around three weeks apart. This allows the skin to respond gradually. Some people may need a different schedule, while others may benefit from a maintenance treatment later on.
At your consultation, I will discuss:
What you would like to improve
Your previous treatments and skincare routine
Your medical history and suitability
Whether Redensity 1 is the most appropriate option
How many sessions may be sensible
Whether another treatment, or a combination approach, would be more suitable
Redensity 1 is available at Bella Medica Aesthetics for £300 per session.
Treatment involves a series of small, precise injections into the skin of the neck. You may experience temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising. These effects usually settle over the following days, but I will explain the possible downtime and aftercare clearly before treatment.

Can Redensity 1 be combined with other neck treatments?
Sometimes the best result comes from addressing more than one aspect of ageing. Combination treatments should always be planned carefully rather than performed simply for the sake of doing more.
PDO thread lift for laxity and lifting
If the main concern is loose skin or a loss of definition, Redensity 1 alone may not provide enough lift. In selected patients, it may form part of a wider plan with a PDO thread lift.
PDO threads are designed to provide support and encourage collagen production in targeted areas. They may be considered when there is mild to moderate laxity, although suitability depends on your skin, anatomy and expectations.
As “The Thread Queen of Lancashire”, I have extensive experience with PDO thread treatments. I will always be honest if threads are not the right choice for you.
Profhilo for hydration and skin quality
Profhilo is another injectable treatment used to improve hydration and skin quality. It may be considered where the overall concern is dryness, laxity and reduced skin firmness.
Redensity 1 and Profhilo are not identical treatments, even though both can be used to support healthier-looking skin. The right option depends on what we are trying to achieve and how your skin presents during assessment.
Microneedling for texture
Microneedling may be useful when uneven texture, fine lines or superficial skin damage are prominent concerns. It can also be combined with a skin booster in a carefully staged treatment plan.
The purpose of microneedling is different from Redensity 1, so using both may be appropriate for some patients but unnecessary for others.
Skin lightening for pigmentation
If sun damage or uneven pigmentation is a major concern, a skin-lightening plan may be recommended alongside neck rejuvenation. This could include professional treatments and a suitable home skincare routine.
Improving pigmentation will not tighten loose skin, just as a skin booster will not necessarily correct every pigment concern. That is why I prefer to assess each issue separately and create a realistic plan.
Looking after your neck at home
Professional treatment works best when supported by consistent skincare.
I recommend treating the neck as an extension of the face. This includes:
Applying broad-spectrum SPF to the neck every day
Reapplying sun protection when outdoors for extended periods
Using a gentle cleanser rather than harsh scrubs
Applying moisturiser to support the skin barrier
Introducing active ingredients carefully, if appropriate for your skin
Avoiding excessive exfoliation, particularly after treatment
Keeping your skincare routine consistent rather than constantly changing products
Sun protection is especially important because repeated UV exposure can contribute to pigmentation, loss of elasticity and crepey texture.

Neck rejuvenation with Redensity 1 is available at our clinics in Lancashire, including Blackburn and Barrowford, Nelson.

Is Redensity 1 right for you?
Redensity 1 may be worth considering if you are concerned about early neck lines, crepey texture, dehydration or reduced skin quality, but it may not be the best option for everyone.
During a consultation, I will assess whether your concerns are mainly related to hydration, texture, pigmentation, laxity or volume loss. I will then explain which treatments may help, what results could reasonably be expected and whether any combination should be staged over time.
There is no pressure to proceed. My role is to help you make an informed decision.
If you would like to discuss neck rejuvenation in Lancashire, you can book a complimentary consultation or treatment appointment online, or visit the Bella Medica contact page to find out more.
Individual results vary. Redensity 1 is a medical aesthetic treatment and suitability can only be confirmed following a consultation with a qualified practitioner.
